1016 Madison, Yours For $75 Million

From the I-thought-that-looked-familiar category comes 1016 Madison. I first saw this one the other day when looking at expensive NYC properties and thought one of the listing pics looked familiar. Turns out, as the NY Post's Braden Keil reports, this is a townhouse that was for sale for a few years ago for just $39 million. Just $39 million, you say? It certainly sounds like a bargain when compared with the $75 million that it is for sale for now.
The seven-story townhouse has 22 rooms and 10 bedrooms and is owned by W. Graham Arader III, the proprietor of Arader Galleries and it has been used as a gallery. The original architectural details on the doors and staircase are lovely here and with a warming remodel it could be a great family home but after paying $75 million who would have any money for a remodel? I think we need a Russian billionaire to swoop in on this one.
