Bloomingdale's Heads To Dubai

Bloomingdale's has announced their first overseas location and it will be in one of the biggest shopping centers in the world, The Dubai Mall. The Dubai Mall will have two Bloomingdale's stores, a a three-level clothing store of about 146,000 square feet and a one-level home goods store of about 54,000 square feet. The Dubai Mall, which is set to open this fall, has an aquarium/discovery center, a gaming center and an ice rink. The Bloomingdale's stores won't open until 2010. the sheer size of this mall is unbelievable! Everything in Dubai is so over the top and they seem to build things bigger and taller every year. Hopefully I can visit this mall one day.

There are both Harvey Nicks and and Saks in Dubai for quite some time. The former is in the Mall of the Emirates (it is really enormous, but not the largest in the world - probably in the top 5 though), while the later is in Burjuman, an upscale shopping mall in the old banking district of Dubai.

Cool, But also visit the mall in Calgery, Alberta, Canada. It is over 60 acres in size, including a skating rink, lake, theartes, mall all under a dome!
