Another Huge Diamond Found In Lesotho
Another large diamond has been found at the Letseng mine in Lesotho. The stone is 478 carats and is the 20th largest rough diamond ever found. What makes this stone important is that its clarity and structure is such that instead of being cut into many smaller stones like the Lesotho Promise diamond, this new stone could yield a single 150 carat cut stone which would be one of the largest cut stones. The potential rare stone could sell for tens of millions of dollars.

Having a large diamond doesn't amount to the same thing as some Crystal covered shoes!

In another 5 -10 years we will be able to "grow" diamonds this size, in a machine, for a few hundred dollars each. Smaller ones, of up to a carat, are already being produced this way.
I bet De Beers is sh*tting themselves over the prospect of their artificially inflated market being taken over by machine grown diamonds that are identical, in every way, to earth grown ones.
