2008 Emmy Guests' Swag Bag and Perks

This Sunday, 9/21, at 8 p.m., get ready to park yourself on the couch to watch ABC and gawk at all the celebs who are famous-for-being famous and oh yes, the real actors, as they parade up and down the red carpet at the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards. I'm always interested in the gifts and perks they get, though, because I know that manufacturers know that there's no better advertising than that which (whom) is unpaid: a celeb wearing or using your item.

Let's take a peek at some of the items inside this year's swag bag, according to the New York Post: "Everyone from Gossip Girls to Desperate Housewives will have the chance to be 'gifted' with Valentino and Jimmy Choo sunglasses ($300-$400), Rock & Republic jeans ($200-$300), Klipsch Image headphones ($350) and even drugstore finds like Dove chocolates ($2.50) and 5 Gum ($1.50)."

Well, fresh breath is a priority in the celeb world. ... Read more by clicking below!

Also offered, according to the Post: from L.A. publicist Melanie Segal, a whole house, at which guests can get ready for the awards with manicures, pedicures, and massages, courtesy of Mobile Spa, and hair touch-ups from T3 Micro. Or, they can take home Apple iPods, loaded with 20th Century Fox's latest releases, Proportion of Blu jeans, and Plantronics Bluetooth headsets.

On the do-good side, however, guests will be asked for donations to Brad Pitt's Make It Right NOLA and to autograph the celebrity sign-in board, which will be auctioned off to benefit the charity. Also, guests can drop by the SilverSpoons' Passion for Pink Retreat in Beverly Hills, targeted toward women in television who've "led the fight to promote breast-cancer awareness." Like one attendee, who left with a new Panasonic camera, $400 worth of New Balance workout clothes and $500 in Spreegirl lingerie.

Guests can shade their eyes from flashbulbs more fashionably after stopping by Kari Feinstein's Style Lounge to choose from designer sunglasses courtesy of Solstice. Also, clothes and shoes are no doubt desperately needed by guests, so they can pick up Michael Stars tanks or cardigans, and Nine West shoes.

But here's a little secret the Post shared: Not everyone who attends walks away with a "boatload of booty." Apparently companies have their eye on certain people they want to showcase their brand, based on their rank, i.e., A list, B list etc.

E Online has even more scoop.
