Freddie Mac CFO Home On The Market, Estate of the Day

It's been a bad time for mortgage companies and few know that better than Freddie Mac CFO Anthony Piszel. Piszel is having a real estate crisis of his own, the NY Post's Gimme Shelter column reports that he has put his luxury home in posh Easton, Maryland on the market. The home is a Georgian style brick mansion on 4.5 gated acres on Maxmore Creek. It includes guest quarters an inground heated pool with brick patio and detached 3 car garage. There are six bedrooms, six baths, formal dining and living rooms, a cherry-paneled den, game/media room and a kitchen that seems rather basic except for the impressively large range. It is listed at $4.975 million.

I think he is raising money to hire a first class law firm to keep himself out of prison and delay his trial. These people that caused this problem should have all of there assets frozen and have a public defender lawyer do there case. When they loose the goverment should take all of there assets, homes, pensions, stock, bonds and all retirement accounts.they should never be left out of prison if they just got 1 day in prison for every person that has lost money they would be there forever and a day.

This is the problem. These slugs getting rich on the back of the joe lunch bucket crowd. Until people like this and people like Franlin Raines are put in jail and forced to give the money back this will keep right on going. How can we have these slugs making this type of money and look what the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES makes. Salarys all around have to be put back in line. The CEO's salary should go along with what the company is making for the stockholders. Another sin is what these sports people are making, this is a sin in itself. We got folks working the market causing false rumors to run up or down a stock so their people can buy and sell on the backs of the lunch bucket crowd. They can go to the bar after work and laugh at what they did for that day. We have a large problem and it will take alot of folks raising alot of hell to even make a dent in it. Right now the only person that will attempt to bring some sense to the problem in my mind is Sen McCain. With people like the Speaker of the House taking up for crooks like Rep Rangle and people like Sen Dodd who is suppose to be minding the store getting VIP treatment from the CEO of Contrywide, no wonder the folks are really upset at all these people in Washington D.C. I recommend that the folks really start pushing for term limits. And to take out these people each election starting November this year.

How in the world can you possibly think that McCain would stop any of this? The man has been a part of "this problem" for the last 26 years. His character alone should be questioned. He lies to the American people to win an election, he selected an inexperienced barbie doll to soothe the Hillary camp, is married to a rich beer mistress, has 9 homes, 13 cars, and his entire campaign is funded by the very lobbyists, special interest groups, and large corporations that have CAUSED this monumental financial crisis! Exactly HOW is McCain going to "stop this" when he's in bed with those who have DONE THIS. Give me a break and wake the hell up. The man has sold his soul to the devil for his OWN benefit and you think he's going to help little 'ole you? You're completely deluded, my friend.

I totally agree

Hey Shallie, the fact that you bring up the Republicans in this instance lets me know how uneducated you are about this matter. Fannie and Freddy are the resting homes for DEMOCRATS. The CEO's and boards are filled with ex-Clinton and Carter administrations advisors. Get the facts from real news sources not Jon Stewart or NBC.

This home is very typical of such homes in that area, but the price is high, even for waterfront. I've lived in that area, also home to Rumsfield, Cheney and the whole DC bunch. Glad to be out of there.

Senator McCain? Look into the Keating 5 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keating_Five before trusting him with our homes.
dave Sep 22nd 2008 3:54PM
4 of the 5 were Democrates that got a lot more money than McCain.I guess you forgot to mention that little bit info.. I am from Easton, just as many Democrates retire and live on the water, look at this guy. He should go to jail for what they did along with everyone else at Fannie and Freddie.

I suspect that his contract covers any and all legal challanges to be paid for by the company. That is rather standard at that level of management.
I agree with Just Me, it does seem a bit high for the area...I like the basic decoration of it, (wall colors on the main floor) but there seems to be way too much furniture in there...like 1985.
My house is near enough Chaneys (in DC) that the motorcades/helicopter are enough to drive one crazy. I understand his neighbors on the Eastern Shore feel that way as well.

I'll give him a hundred bucks for it, and as a taxpayer demand he take it.

Sell the F@CKER and return the proceeds to the treasury
tom Sep 22nd 2008 7:41AM
here is what the link said:
Senators John Glenn and John McCain were cleared of having acted improperly but were criticized for having exercised "poor judgment".
All five of the senators involved served out their terms. Only Glenn and McCain ran for re-election, and they were both re-elected.

My heart bleeds for him................ NOT! Life sucks for you, pal. Now you know how the real world feels.
Dave Sep 22nd 2008 1:49PM
Why do any of you monkeys think this guy is hurting? It simply states that he is selling the home. He made 3.7million in salary last year.. not counting any investments. He is rich forever. Sorry you can't feel good about someone hurting like you want to. He is rich and will stay rich. By the way... HE IS A DEMOCRAT SO ALL YOU MONKEYS CAN STOP THE SILLY COMMENTS. ALL OF FANNIE AND FREDDY IS CONTROLED BY DEMS.
DAB Sep 22nd 2008 8:06AM
Nick...I was with you every step of the way until you got to the McCain statement. Unfortunately, he subscribed to the philosophy that deregulated these markets and believes that trickle-down ecomonics will one day work....come on Nick, you have to see through this because you were completely on point up until then. Geez, our free market is own by 1 percent and the rest of us are only "free" to go hungry under it's affluence. Please don't hand our futures over to 4 more years of gridlock. It's clear that most states are supporting the democratic philosophy in the state and local races. Obama/Biden - the Joe Lunchboxes of the Washington pack of our age :)

Laminate countertops? He should really be ashamed.
Anita Sep 22nd 2008 1:14PM
bubbles, that is exactly what I thought also! It could be solid surface but still not an attractive color. 4.9 million for that kitchen? Granted the range and hood are great but everything else look just average. Why do they still have old looking wall ovens?
damn yankee Sep 22nd 2008 8:59AM
the banks should have seen this coming a long time ago. They knew it was coming and knew the goverment would help all along. Now we are supposed to pay higher taxes to pay for it.no wonder i can't get house! .Now that the crap has hit the fan they need to be bailed out?how about bailing us homeowners out that got screwed by the banks.they gave out loans knowing that they could backfire.
I say let them fold .fine all the bigwigs ,take all their stuff, houses and all valuable assets. Let them sleep in the bed they made for themselves.a holes.
