Luxury Hotel Rooms for Less Than $20 a Night
For just one day, if you are quick you can get two nights in a luxury hotel room anywhere around the world for under $20. The Leading Hotels of the World are celebrating their founding year by offering a one-day-only sale that begins Oct. 1 at noon GMT (that would be 8 a.m. on the East Coast) and lasts for 80 minutes, offering rooms for $19.28. You can only book two nights and must travel between Nov. 1–Dec. 15, 2008 but you do have your choice of more than 90 participating hotels around the world in the Leading Hotels of the World network. Didn't happen. Error screens and requests to try back later.

Wasted an hour and half trying to get through (started ten minutes early). I spent the entire time reloading pages on two computers. Only once did I get to the log in page, and immediately got an error after I attempted to log in (yes, I was pre-registered).
I'd be curious to hear from someone who actually got through, to hear when and where they managed to book.
