Swarovski-studded Contact Lenses (Now We've Seen It All)

They might look pretty in photographs, and maybe photographers will use them for surreal and especially artistic shots, but what regular person in their right mind would wear these contact lenses with Swarovski crystals embedded inside?
The sparkly lenses were created as part of a Swarovski competition that had over 4000 entries from 92 countries. These lenses won first place, which makes me wonder what did the 2nd and 3rd place winners look like?
Maybe I'm over-reacting. I guess if they really don't feel any different than regular contacts they might be fun for Halloween or something. Maybe.

I know its weird, but I'd buy those contact lenses (although I'm a guy) if I wasn't worried about the crystals scratching my cornea.

I wish they had more photos ... I'm really curious to see how these look. I just can't imagine that they look good in person. Sparkles make more sense in a photograph because of the camera flash. But walking down the street? I don't know.

I'm sure they're completely safe, but I just don't like the idea of putting crystals in my eyes - whether they're swarovski or not! lol

Brilliant! We've had colored lenses, we've had white lenses, and now this--brilliant. But ridiculous.

I don't like the thought of regular contact lenses in my eyes, let alone these things! Ah, the things one does for the sake of vanity.

If I could afford this I'd wear them daily. Who doesn't want to have a sparkle in their eye 24/7?
