Hlaska Ties Have a Secret Theme

Make a quiet statement of individuality with these men's ties from Hlaska. At first glance they appear to be fairly standard patterns and stripes, but look closer and you'll see a definite scientific influence, especially to do with the stars and solar system. Available in light to dark colors, you can be wearing stripes that double as strings of dna helixes or binary code, or even the rings of Saturn.
We'll leave it up to you whether you want to enjoy your somewhat geeky (said with all the love in the world) fashion statement in relative silence, or go pointing out the details to everyone in the office. $125

This collection whimpers blahsville. Unlike the Pancaldi collections from the mid to late '80's. I miss those ties and look for the strong geometric Art Deco like patterns in a modern flair. These ties from HLaska won't even fiind their way into my wardrobe, even as a gift. destined for the back of the closet.
Sorry, no deal.

Ties are stupid anyway. They're like a noose. They were invented in the Victorian era to cover mens shirt buttons because they were thought to be suggestive of a naval.

this isn't even a story - it's just a freakin' commercial posing as something newsworthy - welcome to the sixth ring of hell where reality and consumerism are indistinguishable ...
