I was willing to pay the extra costs as it truly was the most luxurious experience I have ever encountered. As far as ownership is concerned, unless you can make the plane worthwhile by having it chartered out to cover your costs, you are usually out of pocket. I'm speaking from the perspective of an expert as I have been an aviation broker dealing with chartering and selling private jets. Owning and managing a jet is not only expensive, there are FAA regulations that make the whole process complex and cumbersome.
