The Rowland Ripple Series is a set of beautiful tables that are a nice balance of smooth contemporary styling and creative design. Designed by Lee J. About 50 years ago I bought a dirty 36 inch diameter, 2 inch thick piece of glass for $3.00 at a white elephant sale. I took it home and cleaned it off, and realized it was an old unsilvered reflecting telescope mirror with an 80 inch focal length. I determined that it came from the U Mich Physics Dept. about 1908. I built a redwood support for it and use it as a coffee table. It makes for an interesting conversation piece.
