Emirates Palace Offers World's Most Expensive Stay
The over-the-top Emirates Palace hotel in Abu Dhabi is offering a $1 million, week-long stay which it claims is the world's most expensive holiday package. The Palace Suite package includes first-class airline tickets, a chauffeur-driven Maybach for the week, a personal butler, daily spa treatments, and day trips via private jet, the Gulf-based Khaleej Times Online reports. The offer is being made as an attempt to earn the hotel a slot in the Guinness Book of World Records, and part of the proceeds will be donated to charities in the U.A.E., the paper reports. The luxe day trips include jetting to Iran to weave Persian carpets and to Bahrain to dive for deep sea pearls, which will then be set for you in custom-designed jewellery.

Probably the only place that is immune to high gas prices in the world at this moment, it's no wonder they can demand such high prices for a stay at a hotel.

Oh, please Patrick! It's just like a democrat to blame the president for something that he has nothing to do with! But it does help to have low taxes...I believe that I can spend my money better than the government and the more of my money I get to keep the better. I agree Patrick...since the Reagan years, the political machine has been "supply side economics", other wise give all the deregulations and tax breaks to corporations and the ultra rich. It was supposed to bring about "trickle down, but it has became quite apparent this is not working. Large Corps and the ultra rich (1 to 3 %) are reaping huge rewards while the masses are struggling. People who complain about "taxes" do not take into account why we tax...to take care of the many needs by the masses...such as safe food...which we now know is not the case...Vote Obama!!!

War in Iran? Currently there is no war in Iran, but if George has his way, he may start one on his way out the door. There is one alright in Iraq, but that's a different country. As for *our* oil money? If the U.S. was not so dependent on foreign oil, that might not be the case.

Most pictures nothing great. have seen prettier lobby's and pool areas in other hotels. However, the palace suite looks fabulous! But all would have to look fabulous to get my million!

first of all Abu Dhabi is part of the United Arab Emirates which is an independant country and NOT Iran or Iraq. the hotel itself is gorgeous and I toured it 3 years agoe..........not sure I would pay a million to stay there but was beautiful just the same

A million dollars for a 7 day stay ?
For that price, it had better come with round-trip 1st Class Airfare, all Meals, an Open Bar, all the Cocaine you want, and 24/7 Hookers !
BTW - The cocaine would be used as reimbursement for me being stupid enough to drop $1,000,000 ( over $140,000 a day ) for a 7- Day trip, ANYWHERE . . . About 35 kilos should offset the cost ($ 30,000 / Kilo ) !
