Why in GOD'S name do people have to spend so much damn money on a
house..... or 2 or even 3 that cost millions and millions..just
because they have it..How about feeding our kids that are starving

Sounds like sour grapes to me from the other posters.
What has world hunger and foreclosures have to do with asking market value for a piece of property? Absolutely Nothing!
ALso many people who are upside down in their houses used their HELOC and 2nd mortgages to take vacations, buy boats, buy RV's, buy vacation homes.
It's too bad they weren't responsible with their investments.
