Quantum of Solace Trailer Unveiled
You've read about the Aston Martin mishaps and the Tom Ford tailoring; now Sony has released the trailer for Quantum of Solace, the new James Bond flick premiering this fall. Daniel Craig stylishly reprises his role as 007 in what looks to be an action-packed installment of the classic series, with Olga Kurylenko and Gemma Arterton doing the Bond Girl honors. In the flick based on a 1959 Ian Fleming short story, Bond sets out to seek revenge for the death of Vesper Lynd (Eva Green) from Casino Royale. Craig has said filming Quantum was much more physically demanding that Casino, and he has suffered some injuries along the way. See the trailer here and check out the gallery for production pix.

Quantum of Solace shares nothing but a name with the original short story. The story would not make an action movie, and definitely not a Bond film.

Alex,
While I agree that Quantum of Solace is not the BEST name for a Bond film, it does make some sense. When we last saw 007, he had shut himself off emotionally following the betrayal of his first true love, Vesper Lynd. His last words about here were “the bitch is dead,” which is not something someone who has come to terms with Vesper’s death would say. All of the interviews and articles on Quantum of Solace reveal the same point: that the film will be far darker than Casino Royale and will involve much soul searching on Bond’s part.

This movie is going to be the best Bond film since the Sean Connery era. Everything about it looks classy...the chair dragging across the floor, an old-school interrogation, the classic Bond in the desert walking up with a gun...what's not to love.
