Sting Criticized For Solo Jet Flight

The celebrities who espouse a green lifestyle often find themselves in trouble when they indulge in some of the privileges of the wealthy. Al Gore has taken the heat for his energy consumption and now Sting is in the spotlight for a private jet splurge. Sting took a solo flight to Germany recently on a Falcon 2000 to meet the rest of the band, The Police for a concert in Leipzig. A spokesperson for the airport confirmed that he was the solo passenger on the plane which can carry 14 passengers. He flew back to England less than 24 hours later via private jet but it's not known if he was alone.

According to the Daily Mail, the Police was named 'dirtiest band' in January for the scale of their carbon footprint. It's been a tough year for Sting and his eco-actions. He started off the year by renting a private yacht in Australia and as I mentioned back in May, his Rainforest Foundation has come under fire for its record of giving. Sting also starred in an ad-campaign for the notso eco Jaguar cars.

I'm so sick of this manufactured "save the planet garbage." Take care of your own problems and leave other people alone. The big "global warming" carp is just another way for the damn government to grab you hard earned money. Get a life people and get the hell out of other peoples business. If he can afford to fly on a private jet, good for him!! If you have talent and work hard, maybe you can earn that kind of money someday..Hollywood types are mostly stupid too!!

Wow. What a bunch of whiners. So he took a trip alone. Big whoop. This is probably why most people don't go out on a limb to bring environmental awareness to others - the minute they do they're put under a microscope so jealous losers can judge them to feel better about themselves.

This article by far, was the biggest waste of time out of my day. As if it is going to make one bit of difference concerning global warming whether there are 1 or 14 passengers on the plane. It is still flying, isn't it? What if he couldn't find 13 other people going the same direction at the time he needed to? Give me a break!

So I guess a lot of you people don't realize that the reason he gets to be criticized for this is the fact that he's always on his soapbox criticizing the rest of the world for their consumption? Hello? Same with Gore. They are always up their own a$$es about how the rest of us live (especially those of us too poor to live "green") but they don't practice what they preach.

If 'n ya got it . . . Flaunt it ! ! ! . . . . This criticism is as bad as when they wanted to put catalytic converters on push lawn mowers . . . and mules used for plowing . . . What about the multi-engine airliners which carry 150 people yet many times fly empty or near empty of passengers just because they set the schedule and they fly it no matter what . . . that 'splains why many are goin' belly-up . . . I think that if an airline flight has less than 1/4 of the capacity of the aircraft scheduled, they should either drop down to a smaller aircraft or re-schedule the passengers on a later, more appropriate flight. . . yeah ! ! !. . . go on and fuss at me ! ! ! . . .
. . . I can take it ! ! !
