Sense you are talking about good vodkas, what would you say is a good vodka for an individual to start with. I have always had a hard time drinking the hard liquor but want to get away from the beer and start with vodka. What would you say a reasonablely priced vodka is that is smooth and does not taste bad? All the help that you can provide would be great.

You'll hear a LOT of B.S. on Vodka . . .but with the current "VODKA WARS" (as my vendors calls it), bringing Chopin to 30.00USD a bottle that is the place to start, and while you'll try other things, you'll ALWAYS come back to it. don't buy the big 1.75ml bottle you will not get the same price - at least currently.
