Burger King's $200 Burger

Of all the restaurants that might offer a $200 truffle-laden burger on their menu Burger King is probably one of the last ones, if not the last one, that comes to mind. But believe it or not Burger King has launched a $200 hamburger called simply "The Burger" that features Wagyu beef, white truffles, Pata Negra ham slices, Cristal onion straws, Modena balsamic vinegar, lambs lettuce, pink Himalayan rock salt, organic white wine, and shallot-infused mayonnaise all served up on an Iranian saffron and white truffle dusted bun.
That's quite a list of ingredients.
"The Burger" will be on sale once per week in London and proceeds go to benefit the Help a London Child charity.

this sounds fairly tasty and seems to be a bit of a bargain when compaired to some other high priced burgers, but i pray that they don't let the regular burger-jockey behind the counter prepair it...

Will they have a special line for this? Or will you have to wait on line with the commoners?
carman493 Jun 22nd 2008 7:30PM
I want one, why can't they offer this in the United States!?

EW!!! I NEVER eat fast food anymore, nor would I start with THIS hunk of crud! I would'nt give U 2 CENTS for that mess. I'll "have it MY way" : at home with my Husband! He uses Trader Joe's 85% lean beef with NO preservatives! THAT'S for me!
Katrina Calhoun Jun 22nd 2008 4:16PM
I'm with you! Trader Joe's has great products....At reasonable prices too! You would have to be crazy to eat it in the first place, charity or no charity!

Sounds pretty horrible, I've never even heard of some of the ingredients, lol, but at least the money goes to charity. Bon appetit!
Jeanne Jun 22nd 2008 3:31PM
Am I mistaken, or do I see an image of the Virgin Mary on the lambs lettuce?
Linda Jun 22nd 2008 3:33PM
Sounds pretty horrible! I've never even heard of most of the ingredients. At least the money from sales goes to charity. Bon Appetit! lol

Pardon me, there are truffles on my BK stacker -- I specifically requested no truffles. And do you have any Grey Poupon?
duke Jun 22nd 2008 4:15PM
That makes me go...yuck!
I prefer home made burgers on the grill, made from ground turkey...yum

This recipe sounds absolutely disgusting. Donate the $200 and spare both your palate and your stomach from this pile of pure haulage.
