Thank you for posting these pics of the interior. The wood is so freaking fabulous. I want this house. I cannot afford but a girl can dream. This is my dream home. Beautiful and you can tell there was pride in ownership. That said, I agree -- the restraint in furniture (although it's surely been significantly staged with minimal pieces left behind) is to be admired, but, the pieces are out of place in this home. I don't like fussy and busy furnishings, so I'd hate to see Victorian divans and too much velvet, but a Calder mobile, as you said, doesn't belong in this home.

KF

Comments on Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany's Brooklyn Home, Estate of the Day

It looks very empty and unlived in. I just kept thinking.......funeral home. That is what it reminds me of. All those old style funeral homes where the wakes were on the first floor and the families lived upstairs. IN A CREEPY KINDA WAY. VERY DARK AND EVER NOTICE HOW HOUSES LIKE THAT NEVER HAVE PICS ON THE WALL. NOTHING AROUND TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE SOMEONE ACTUALLY LIVES THERE. NO PERSONALITY TO IT AT ALL.
