Southampton Village, Estate of the Day

We've seen some expensive homes in the Hamptons but if there's anything I've learned in years of covering the high-end real estate market, it's that there is always another even bigger place around the corner. This home in Southampton Village has nine bedrooms, four floors and +13,500 sqft of living space. The home was the last project of renowned builder Kurt Andresson and famed New York Architects DAquino Monaco. It sits on approximately 11 acres of which six are Peconic Land Trust natural preserve lands with 1,000' oceanfront and 1000' pond front. On particularly winning detail is a two story enclosed gazebo with beautiful ocean views. The property also includes a sunken tennis court, gunite pool and Jacuzzi, pool house, two-car garage with h garden/potting area and second floor storage, private walkway to beach and pond with wooden dock. This home is listed at $80 million which puts it at the top tier of Hamptons real estate.

I was expecting the interior to be that of many that make Estate of the Day. Unimaginative and very dull. I'm surprised. There is a clean and uncluttered aesthetic with some great mid 20th century pieces in the mix. Nice.

I don't see anything luxgerious about this house. It's just a New Modern house that has a lot of square footage. Where is the luxgery. There is nothing that impresses me about this house.

NOT IMPRESSED. I HAVE SEEN HOMES FOR LESS THAN 4M THAT WERE MORE IMPRESSIVE.

80 Million and ONLY a two car garage???? Not what I would call a Lux. home! Here in Florida we have much bigger homes that sell for half of this home and have 4 & 5 car garages.

Lousy furnature! Looks like they furnished it from NYC trashbins. And the media room sure could use a couch big enough for a couple to snuggle. I'll give you $81 million if you clean out the trash!

this place is great. love the clean lines of the interiors and the great use of windows--when you have a view like that, you don't want the clutter inside. smart place.

I've seen better houses for much less. No luxury in the place, horrible furniture, and I hate that the kitchen is white. I will never own a house with a white kitchen.
