Moshiko Sculptural Rings

All jewelry designs are works of art, but these
Sculptural Rings from Moshiko take it to the extreme. Made of various crazy combinations of sterling silver and colorful resin, the inspirations for the designs range from ancient African art to mathematics to futuristic themes. Each ring is unique, signed by the artist, and only available in whatever size it was already made in (the sizes vary,
see the site for specifics).
I think these rings are absolutely beautiful to look at but I'm not sure they're realistic (or comfortable) to actually
wear. $200-$500

Well, being partner and studio assistant of Moshiko, I own and wear a whole lot of these rings : ) My private collection varies for Everyday ring to Sculptural, and ALL of them are comfortable and definately realistic. The big rings obviously have a felt weight presence for the wearer, but a nice one. Personally, The bigger rings give me a feeling of attachment to this ring-object-piece of art. Its really a matter of getting used to. How many women out there are afraid to put on something larger than a wedding ring? A lot.

You make a good point, Gila! Do you have a favorite one of these rings?

I actually have a few favorites...first is the butterfly ring (810) but mine is in orange-red. The African ring (820) which i got from moshiko celebrating the birth of our daughter. Mine is in Jade. From the everyday rings I wear 488 a lot. It is one of our collaborations - I created the illustrations (inspired by Miro).
Besides being Moshiko's assistant, I also teach a course on creative thinking in a school of visual arts in Tel Aviv. I always put on my best clothes and ONE piece of jewelry (maximum 2 - ring + bracelet). My students are always commenting on my jewelry, I love the attention : )
Oh, and there is another ring, my first one, I call it my wedding ring (although we are not officially married). It carries an abstract image of male sperm : ) (for technical reasons it does not yet appear on the site).
Sooo...I have quite a few favorites.
