Most Expensive Zip Codes: 60022, Estate of the Day
For the next couple of weeks we will be checking out some homes in the most expensive zip codes in the United States, up today, 60022 . This zip code refers to the town of Glencoe, Illinois. This zip code has a median price of $1,850,000 with an appreciation rate of 218% since 1990. Glencoe is a small, highly affluent community on Lake Michigan that is part of the Chicago metropolitan area.
Today's estate is definitely not a representative sample of the real estate in the area. Glencoe homes tend to run to the traditional and this home is definitely not that. It's a bit of a contemporary fun house.This home is full of wacky modern furniture and all sorts of funky details including multi-colored wood floors, a bulbous fireplace, a kitchen full of swooping counters and wild bathrooms. It is listed at $6.9 million.

This place is kind of interesting. Fun furniture and interesting designs.
I hope this column will stop focusing ONLY on the "most expensive zip codes." It's getting kind of old (lots of IL last few days, as well).

Most expensive zip codes is okay. i'd just like to see that comma splice in the first sentence fixed. I'm tired of looking at it.
Back to most expensive zip codes: There seems to be a focus on Chicago environs lately. How 'bout 96816? Or 10021?

I love the lines of the furniture, not sure if they were shot with a fish-eye / wide angle lens so the pictures look distorted? Anyway its very Jetsons. I also like the picture (or mural or print, not sure) in the laundry room. I like this one.

I like the view outside ,I don't like the house ...uglyyyyyy..................I heard Glencoe , very nice area ........burbs of chicago ...............There's many nice burbs of chicago ..........
I dont l ike the funiture , the mirrors in that gym makes it bigger........mentallyyyyy............
