The Panda Trust's mission is simple; protecting the habitat of the giant panda, and increasing their numbers in the wild. With only 1000 or so pandas remaining, the situation is urgent....around 500 of that 1000 roam free in unprotected forests, where they remain an easy target for poachers (panda skins can sell for up to $200,000 outside of China!). There is also an immediate need for research that has Chinese scientist working around the clock, not a single panda has ever been successfully re-introduced to the wild. So, along with protecting pandas and their natural habitat, methods must also be found that will allow pandas born in captive facilities to be integrated back into the wild. If you would like additional info about how you can help save the giant pandas from extinction, visit the panda trust website. The Panda Trust, Charity Of The Day

It looks like you've caught him on a smoking break.
This is another challenge facing the panda, Ladies and Gentlemen. Smoking cessation programs for pandas are way underfunded.
