Kiton was created forty years ago, by Italian designer Ciro Paone. Today it is regarded as one of the most exclusive and distinguished men's lines in the world. For as long as ties have been fashionable, Kiton has been making
the most stylish ones available. Handmade in Italy, 100% silk and featuring signature prints recognizable by their organic look, you can guarantee that wearing a Kiton will bring you a slew of compliments. Available in luxury men's boutiques worldwide, the green flower tie is also available
online for $235.

The most expensive tie I have ever sold was $195 and it had tread dipped in actual gold. I'm not sure how you can justify charging more than that for silk exept to know you are paying for a label and lots of advertising.
That's probably why people will spend $1000 to $2000 more for a similar fabric with similar construction for a Kiton suit than they would to have me custom make one with their own name in it.
