The International Rhino Foundation, Charity of the Day

The International Rhino Foundation was formed in 1963 to aid the five species of rhino that is rapidly facing extinction, today it is dedicated to the survival of the world's rhino species through conservation and research. Without drastic action, some rhinos could be extinct within the next 10-20 years! There are currently only 17,500 rhinos alive (1,200 of those are in captivity). The Sumatran rhino is one of the most endangered mammals on Earth, with fewer than 300 alive, living in Indonesia and Malaysia. You can help to protect the Sumatran Rhino from extinction by adopting one of them! You can adopt one in your own name, or as a unique gift for a fellow animal lover.
