It makes me a little sad that no matter how my career advances, I would be unwelcome at this hotel. So would any of your Jewish-American busienss partners, wives, boyfriends, or anyone who has taken a trip to Israel. All are banned from the land of our ally, Saudi Arabia. They won't even let you out of the airport. I hope that changes some day. But, it is their country, I try not to judge them; they have their reasons, but still, I do hope they change their minds and stop barring people based on something they were born with, like their religion.

I wouldn't step anywhere in middle-east even if they offered me a free stay in their 7-star hotels - hell, I even avoid connecting flights from dubai when travelling to India. I dont have anything against anyone in particular. Its just that its not safe for any non-native to visit middle-east.

Great hotel and fabulous place to stay. In the last 12 months I have visited Dubai 4 times and loved every bit of it. In my opinion Dubai plays a crucial role in the modern world.
By being sympathetic to both Eastern and Western culture it provides the perfect environment for different cultures to get to know and enjoy each other's differences.

Mark, ehh...sorry but Burj Al Arab is in UAE, not Saudi Arabia, and it caters to western people more so than to any Arab or Muslim, i mean it has a bar for crying out loud... maybe you should actually think before you speak, but i know you just wanna bash bash bash. Shailendra, wow...u think India is safer than UAE...are you kidding me?? I wonder what the crime stats are like India vs UAE.
