Combining the best features of a garment bag and a suitcase is the
SkyRoll. The SkyRoll works like a standard carry-on suitcase, except large clothes are placed in a separate garment bag and then wrapped around the outside of the suitcase. The suitcase has two sections, a main compartment for most of your clothing, and a top compartment for quick access to items you may need while traveling.Once you pack the garment bag and suitcase you place them on a bed or table and clip them together. The only drawback is that they recommend that you do not use hangers when packing. There are two versions, a carryon bag for $109 and a wheeled version for $199.

I'm the inventor and CEO of SkyRoll. I just wanted to make a comment about hangers. The reason we don't recommend hangers is that they cause wrinkles. They also add weight and most hangers are not flexible enough to bend around the bag as needed. Lastly, all hotel rooms have hangers. For all these reasons we suggest you leave the hangers at home.
