Courteney Buys Jennifer Some Green Wheels

Remember that sweet ride from Chanel I highlighted a couple months ago. Well, after Jennifer Aniston mentioned to her good friend Courteney that she wanted a two-wheel ride to help green up her life, the former Friends star bought Jen a $12,000 Chanel bicycle much like the one I wrote about before. Fashioned with 8-speeds, a quilted leather seat and saddlebag bearing the unmistakable Chanel logo, it is quite the bike. Ridin' in style -- nice move Jen.

Re: Comments on the $12K bike. I love that scene in "Broadcast News" when Holly Hunter's producer character suddenly realizes that William Hurt's reporter character could not have been filmed emoting an impromptu tear, without there being a second camera--meaning that the reporter's celebrated serendipitous tear had to have been planned. So, who among those providing commentary herein had press at their bicycle purchase? Did any part of this story actually happen? Is it not more likely that Jen and Courteney's respective publicists just made this up? These winsome lasses are highly paid to..oh, my...pretend to be someone they are not! They sell unreality. It must be highly entertaining to THEM to read these "serious real world" comments analyzing life in LA LA land.

I think what Anita said is very relevant. If we can sit here expressing opinions about how celebrities spend their money, then those who make less money than we do should do the same to us. The bottom line is that we do what we want with our money. Courney didn't hurt anybody by spending all that money on a bike for Jennifer. So who are we to be mad about it? The bike is to be used for "green" reasons. Maybe we spend our time cheering for them and following their lead rather than bashing the way they utilize their money.

So many are concern about the spelling. What about the totally waste of funds. Trying to be greener has its value. But when the cost of being greener is greater than the return then it should be reviewed and maybe discarded.
Too many Hollywood types waste money that could be given away to those that would TRULY appreciate of assistance. Reality in fact trumps ( no pun intended) false projections of good over wasteful obsessions.

Actors are just overpaid pretenders. The like to rub it in our faces by buying overpriced stuff that no normal person would waste so much money on.

Just for everyone's information (or anyone who's interested)....Courteney Cox and husband David Arquette are known in Hollywood for their many philanthropic efforts to help others in need. And YES they use their own money to do it. So how can you poo poo the adorable Courteney Cox just for buying her best friend, one kick ass bicycle?? I'd say it was a very sweet gesture and also one that is good for our environment! Actually it is really nobody's business what Courteney spends her money on, so give the girl a break!
