Courteney Buys Jennifer Some Green Wheels

Remember that sweet ride from Chanel I highlighted a couple months ago. Well, after Jennifer Aniston mentioned to her good friend Courteney that she wanted a two-wheel ride to help green up her life, the former Friends star bought Jen a $12,000 Chanel bicycle much like the one I wrote about before. Fashioned with 8-speeds, a quilted leather seat and saddlebag bearing the unmistakable Chanel logo, it is quite the bike. Ridin' in style -- nice move Jen.

Mary,
I noticed you have made a few comments about how a person should spend their money. Maybe those that make less money than you do, feel YOU should give more to charity or whatever. ??
If someone makes less money than another, do they have the right to tell the one making more money how to spend it? Pfffft!
Anne Feb 8th 2008 6:08PM
Mary darling, next time try turning off caps lock and using spell check. Your "education" is showing.
Scott C Feb 10th 2008 3:56PM
"THERE" is spelled THEIR. Learn to spell and you could make some money too.
obe1010 Feb 10th 2008 6:11PM

Yeah Mary! If I could spell it I'd add that Hollywood is out of control narcissistic! It's a good thing I can't spell that word!

What a waste of money! That money could have been better spent helping the children in the Sudan, the troops in Iraq, the homeless in the USA, etc.
Bill Feb 8th 2008 2:35PM
Who needs a $12,000 bicycle? It can get you anywhere just as well as a $200 one. Pampered a-holes...

Regardless of what you think of thier work, the fact is they were paid vast sums to do it. Therefore they are entitled to spend thier own monies however they see fit. As you are clearly not thier accountant you do not know what charities or organizations benefit from thier earned wealth. Stop feeling like you are entitled to determine in what way someone chooses to conduct themselves or thier finances.

lion, right on, they earned it they can spend it on whatever, we all do, just not as much..
jme Feb 8th 2008 2:34PM
Sadly, the money they are spending on ridiculously priced 'anything's'... is from the rest of us. We are all funding the Hollywood lifestyle by seeing, buying, and supporting their talents.
Seems the only way to shut down Hollywood and all of it's 'frivolousness'... is to stop watching and buying into it all.

PLEASE!!!! This is much like the idea of helping the planet by only taking home leftovers in styrofoam once a year, or driving the hummer only to get to your private jet!
This sickens me. Want to help the planet? Try buying 120 bikes for underprivilaged kids. This is an example of stars living OFF the radar, and spending money in an irresponsible way. Buy Jennifer a nice affordable bike and match it with one for someone who cannot afford one!
I agree with the the above entry...I don't care anymore and wish more felt the same way. We could send a message to these spoiled lazy stars. If any of them had to do a REAL days work for the money the rest of us make, they would think twice about stupid extravagant purchases.
(Courtney ought to keep her money, cause her career is over anyway...in fact all of them from friends peeked).
chris Feb 8th 2008 6:45PM
Does anyone know how to spell?
Lori Feb 8th 2008 2:37PM
if you have nothing better to do with $12000.00 then why don't you help out the those who struggle to pay their bills. I am in debt up to my ears and it is not because I want all nice things, it is because of school and the cost of living with a job that doesn't pay enough to cover the cost of water these days. Never mind a place of my own to live. But I hope that bike is just fabulous and you take it to all those lovely places that you are vacationing at all the time.

They got their lives & we got ours in a genetic crapshoot. They have more $ than you, but I guarantee that you have more $ than a lot of others. Do you volunteer to help them pay their bills? Why do you feel that she owes anybody anything? Like it or not, she can do what she wants with her money - just kike you can. If your job is so bad, get a better one, or get a second one.
