Pigs Fed Ice Wine For Gourmet Feast

Sure there are meals paired with wines, meats cooks in wines, and then there are the animals that are fed the wines... wait, what? Recently a pair of Berkshire pigs were fed ice wine, approximately 200 milliliters per day of 2006 Trius Vidal, for forty days. At the culmination of this experiment, the two pricey, 300-pound hogs were served to eighty-two anxious patrons of Niagara-on-the-Lake's Hillebrand restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed. I'm not sure if the $50 bottles given to the pigs was money well spent but I certainly appreciate the idea.

SAYS THE "writer" of this article; WELL, YOU ARE -for whatever reason- INTENT ON PERPETUATING THE IDEA THAT WE, HUMANS, ARE HOPELESSLY LOCKED INTO AN ANIMALISTIC EXISTENCE AND WHILE WE HAVE OUR SOMETIMES SHOCKINGLY SHORT LIVES WE BETTER "DISCOVER" NEW IDEAS TO ENJOY IT, HOWEVER BIZARRE THAT IDEA MIGHT BE; SO, WHY DON'T YOU GIVE AT LEAST LIP-SERVICE TO THE ROAD THAT POINTS OUT THE MAX. POTENTIAL FOR "PERPETUAL" HAPPINESS ON OUR TINY PLANET, WHICH COULD BE SUMMED UP THIS WAY-since we're talking about food here-IF YOU WANT LASTING PEACE, THE BASIS FOR HAPPINESS, YOU CAN'T HAVE HALF THE RACE STARVING AND HALF OF THEM FRANTICALLY COUNTING CALORIES!
