Jeans Jewelry ... Really?

Although this fits the bill in terms of an expensive item made with lavish items like mother-of-pearl, onyx and gold I'm not particularly psyched about these decadent denim jeans by Earnest Sewn and Van Cleef & Arpels. One style will retail for $9,700 while the second is up for grabs if you're willing to pay $11,300! Bedecked in the unmistakable Alhambra clover-leaf jewelry, the jeans have glittery rivets, buttons and a wallet chain which can be converted into a necklace or doubled-over for a bracelet. Only ten of each style is projected to be produced, each signed and numbered to make them true collector's items.

Why? Because women with more money than sense want that wallet-on-a-chain look that 13-year-old boys into rubbish music like. Maybe the kind of men they hope to snag are attracted by that look?
