Michael Andretti's Home, Estate of the Day

Today's estate listing has 70 pictures, but that's because there is a lot to check out. The 12,000-square-foot mansion is Michael Andretti's home in Bushkill Township, Pennsylvania. Andretti the son of racing legend Mario Andretti and the father of current Indy Racing League star Marco Andretti. He is also a former racer and is now the owner of Andretti Green Racing as well as other businesses. Andretti built the home in 1986. The home is lavish and developed to the owner's specifications with hand-painted murals that reference the family's Italian heritage. There are six-bedrooms total as well as a gym, game room and wine cellar and massive two-story dome. The home is listed at $3.4 million.

Remember Elvis' "Graceland"?, This property could be called "Raceland"...
The real question to ask is, would anyone want to see it? Maybe but probably not....A wax museum, with Andretti Hall of fame and a tribute to all of the friends and family over the years...Imagine paying dollars (or yen) to see it. Maybe Honda of America could make a new home for Asimo the Robot....If all else fails. Of course A memorial in the back for all of those teenagers who have died in Honda's
thinking they could acually go 95-100 m.p.h. on the highway....just like M&M...and Grand Daddy. SADD.

Thwack! you could had a V-8! Try it next time.
This home is just enormous; you need an extended family, plus the girls next door! Maybe it isn't big enough?lol It has a certain charm about it, but you would have to be macho and very "chique" bull-dog charismatic. Also, whining and driving don't really mix well....so maybe the realtor should nix the Whine..ery. Maybe it's the thing that will make the sale though....Is it a haunted house, the price is kinda low? Better Call Ghost Busters before you buy, also check out the back yard....

Michael's team Andretti-Green Racing won the IRL Championship last year & holds 3 years Championships of the past 5 years! He lives in Indianapolis and has for most of the past year and a half. When I saw the home in 2004 after the last race at the Nazareth Speedway, everyone, myself included were speechless. The home is a masterpiece & has been written up as so in numerous home magazine's. You have to have an eye for distinction to appreciate the work, it is breathtaking. Good for Mike to move to Indy, it's where his team is--he Should be there!!

Don't get so excited. This house is really cheap considering all it is. He will not want to buy it back at a later date. Maybe he could rent it. Not so personal, Signor! No offences taken.

Too bad Mikey has to win at all cost. Just remember, what goes around, comes around....Not that impressed with this house as a home, maybe a designer could do some touch ups. ...There is just something about it that screams, fix me! A museum might be the best option, with a cemetary....Maybe the family could just hold on to it. The market really is bad and really the price is very low. No one cares about "Indy." just a few more years and all the drivers will be so sick of it just like the rest of the American public. Couldn't keep Dario, he is too much of a gentleman, Sam Hornish was just tooo good for words. NASCAR really has nothing on Indy though, pathetic state in America today! No Tom Brady's or David Beckham's here, no class!

Thank goodness for Freedom of Speech, even if some people pretend that they are all here is...The H20 has been sucked out of this gig...Apparently. This home is all the rave, maybe some other 60's fan will want his crumbs...or whatever. Goodluck with the alimony!

They couldn't afford a better shower head to go with the fancy basin with pedastal next to it? Is the entire house built on an open floor plan with no doors for the rooms? Can't figure out the room with a sink & mirror in the corner and then a towel rack on another wall. Is this the "guest" suite? But I love the sun bed!! This just proves there's no accounting for taste and you can't buy it with any amount of money.

Patrizzia, From Canada? Perhaps Mikey is going to have to
think long and very hard about the pain he has caused sooooo many by his, negativity, lack of reguarde' etc. This is a house that is a reflection of his bad taste, his poor choices etc. There are many people who would love this house, like the last Japanese President...He loved Elvis' graceland..Maybe the Prez will want this "raceland."..Then he could jam with Gramppy. Sounds like you have alot invested...Patrizzia..lol Honda's **** though! SO keep them parked in the garagio....CAio'
Neighbor next door Jan 22nd 2008 3:50PM
