Is $11,000 Clover Coffee Maker Lucky?

I'm not sure this is worth the beans it says it is but the Clover 1S claims to be the answer to a top-shelf single cup of coffee brewed at the coffee shop just to your taste. Brewed in a fraction of the time your at-home single coffee cup maker does, the Clover 1S allows the consumer to watch their chosen coffee brew to perfection. It probably can't get any fresher than that. The Clover also comes with built-in software that can allow the owner to observe drinking trends and profits since each cup is meant to be served for $22 a cup! Whoa -- that is one pricey cup o' joe. Does that mean the biscotti are free?

Tried my first cup on the Clover at Staufs Coffee Roasters, Columbus Ohio. Amazing complexity and subtle nuances unique to this method of brewing that cannot be found in Vacpot or Presspot brewing methods alone. Great cup! Certainly worth the 3 or 4 bucks I paid.

There's an Asian restaurant in Philadelphia called Rays (on 9th or 10th Street) that produces the best siphon system coffee, and they've been doing it for over a decade--way ahead of the curve.

Funny you should mention Rays -- I used to live a block from there and enjoyed a number (quite a HIGH number) of cups of coffee there, even the siphoned. Great spot! :)

Just had a cup from the Clover machine at Ritual Roasters in San Francisco on Valencia street. Super tasty! I think they charged $4 for what it's worth... I'll for sure order again. Unique and clean taste.
