Martha Stewart and Wedgwood Team Up
After years of selling her lines with Kmart, Martha Stewart has made the move up the ladder a bit to Macy's. Her latest line is a collaboration with Wedgwood that will only be sold at Macy's. The line, which just became available in stores, features 10 fine bone china patterns, six crystal stemware patterns, and six stainless steel flatware patterns. The pieces are inspired by some of Martha's favorite pieces of china. Each china pattern is available in five -piece place settings, ranging in price from $99-$159. The six stemware patterns range from $30 to $37 per stem and the flatware costs from $45 to $60 for a 5-piece place setting. It's an attractive line and it is interesting to watch the trajectory of Stewart, who started at the higher end of the entertaining world, then, as her popularity increased, created a series of lower-priced lines. Now, with her popularity perhaps experiencing a slow and graceful fade, she has headed back into what seems to be more natural territory.

Great for Martha! I've always liked Martha. She will continue to be successful, because she is optimistic, intelligent, creative, hardworking, resourceful, polished, and overall confident. Yeah! We need more role models like Martha. Her products have style and are of good quality. It is a good thing for her products to be sold in different types of stores ex. Kmart and Macy's that way they are available to people of different income levels. Everyone appreciates beauty and quality. I'll be checking out her new line at Macy's. By the way, Martha did start a new book while in prison. It's not a cookbook. I'ts Martha's Rules-an excellent book.

I DO NOT PERSONALLY CARE FOR MARTHA, HOWEVER, JUST BECAUSE A PERSON SERVES SOME TIME IN PRISON IT DOES NOT NECESSARILY MAKE THEM A BAD PERSON. I BOUGHT A COMPLETE SET OF MARHA STEWART DISHES, WITH MATCHING GLASSWEAR, HYDRANGEA PATERN, A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO. WHAT I LIKE ABOUT IT, BESIDE THE SURPRISING QUALITY, IS THE FACT THAT THIS PARTICULAR PRODUCT IS A WOMAN'S DREAM. AFFORADABLE, DURABLE, ATTRACTIVE AND YOU CAN ADD INDIVIDUAL PIECES FOR A LARGE FAMILY. I SPENT YEARS LOOKING FOR A PLATTER TO MATCH MY DISHES BIG ENOUGH FOR A THANKSGIVING TURKEY. WHEN I BOUGHT MY DISHES THERE IT WAS. ALSO VERY LARGE SERVING BOWLS, SALT & PEPPER SHAKERS, EVEN A NAPKIN HOLDER. NOW MY TABLE IS VERY ATTRACTIVE, WITH ALL OF THE PIECES I WANTED AND IT DID NOT BREAK THE BANK. THANKS MARTHA. MUCH SUCCESS WITH YOUR NEW ENDEAVORS,

Actually, I was hoping that she would crawl under a rock and go away, once she was released from "the big house." My other guess would have been a line of "adult toys" for the "active woman inside."

Martha Stewart does not anything for mankind. You adoring MS fans are pathetic. I've never read posts, such as the ones posted here, with so much slober. At first I thought that everyone was talking about Jesus Christ with all the love, but I was wrong, it was about MS. Do any of you suck-ups speak so highly about your own family members? For the record I have never bought a MS product and don't plan on it unless MS herself was to knock on my door I won't even give the idea an iota of a thought. Lastly, what on earth has she done for humanity that would elevate her to such an admiring state?

I think this new venture is Martha's way of getting her products back into the public eye. We have 1 K-Mart about 25 miles from our house, yet I did buy a set of her dishes in the plain stoneware, but in several coordinating colors. I like the mismatched look she brought into vogue. The Martha Stewart products I have purchased at K-Mart have been well-made and durable. Oddly, I'm not crazy about her cookbooks, LOL.
I also wondered, as an earlier poster, whether the Wedgwood is made in England or whether it has been farmed out to another country where labor is cheaper. The drawing feature about Wedgwood is its very "Britishness." I'll check it out but I've got Lenox china, Waterford crystal and Towle sterling silver which I received over 30 years ago when I got married. I did the math and for anyone to have a set of 12 place settings of each item of Martha's new line, or even a set of 8 place settings, would cost several thousand dollars.
That kind of money is difficult for most of us and even if purchased with credit card, would take some time to pay off. I collect Wedgwood sweet dishes with particular motifs on them, so her new Wedgwood line isn't something I need to have. The colors are her usual muted, simple tones which go with everything.

She has never admitted that she broke the law. Ironically, the drug she bailed on, went on to become a sucessfull Cancer treatment component. Why are so many eager to perpetuate her name? She deigns to know your ilk. Get a clue.

I don't deify her, but I don't follow her every move or hang on her every word. She committed the crime and did the time, so whatever she does now, if it makes her happy, so be it. No one HAS to buy anything of hers. I've read and heard the horror stories about her and let's face it - we can't expect everyone to like us. However, with so many people who have come forward about negative experiences with her, you have to wonder. But again, it's her life.
I thought for sure that she would show up on QVC or HSN with houseware products.

Her stuff is over priced, even her paper crafts at Michael's. Besides, she is the least humble person I've ever seen except for maybe Donald Trump and I wouldn't spend a dime of my money on any of her stuff.

Who are you kidding....."now that her popularity is experiencing a slow and graceful fade"........you must be joking. Just as the Feds tried to make an example of her...she is showing the world how to make a "come-back" and she's nothing short of spectacular at it. Do you need me to do your homework for you??? There is nobody that knows how to "brand" better than Martha Stewart.

I'm not jealous of Martha but I don't understand her appeal.I was a 3rd generation university educated woman (and masters diplomate) ,who was a stay at home mom.I taught my children gourmet cooking, sewing (holloween costumes only)decorating(I decorated the country house myself using antiques and Baker furniture family heirlooms), and english lit as well as elementary physics. My girls laugh and say every thing that Martha does they learned before they were 5.However,not everyone has an interested mother.I guess that's it but I prefer my own taste

I wonder how many other convicted felons Macy's has hired. My guess is zero.
