Sting's Luxurious Plans for New Year's Eve

Sting and his family have idyllic New Year's plans. The rock star his wife Trudie and their four children are in Sydney, Australia, where it is summertime, and have rented out one of the most expensive yachts on Sydney Harbor, the Phoenix 1. The yacht rents for a daily charter rate of $13,200 Australian (around $11,575). The yacht has two VIP stateroom plus a double and twin cabin with accommodations for eight guests. The fly bridge includes a spa, sun pads, bar and barbecue. It has a dining room, main saloon with an entertainment suite and a gym (pictures of the interior are at the yacht's charter listing. It is expected that Sting will be enjoying the New Year's Eve fireworks from Sydney harbor along with Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban, and Hugh Jackman and wife Deborra-lee Furness.

sTING IS BEING FRUGAL. THIS IS A LOW END YACHT AND THE PRICE IS A TENTH OF WHAT A REAL MEGA OR GIGA YACHT GOES FOR

At more than 11,000 A DAY, this is NOT considered a "low end" yacht. You clearly do not know this business. ..... Additionally, that is just the RENTAL fee. THEN there are the charges for Catering, Beverages, Fuel, Dockage, F&B sertvice charges, AND a customary Crew Gratuity of 15- 20%.
(By the way, even if this were not so, what is wrong with anyone ever being "frugal"???!)
Happy New Year from a yachting professional in New England. :)

Of course once again the rich wasting money on themselves, to help anyone is against their belief at all times

Dear Sting, I hope he and his family immensely enjoy their New Years holiday, whatever the cost, he has earned it. Having seen The Police THREE times this year(and "sigh" even meeting him!), I can tell you that he ROCKED out, left all of himself on that stage, he deserves a little "R n R". God bless he and his family and a million thanks for rejoining Andy and Stewart and embarking on the reunion tour!

To Sting...Happy New year.
Have loved your music for ever.
As everyone is discussing the "boat'issue
I actually saw the Phoenix pull into Sydneyharbour. Watching from the top of a building at the Rocks. Good on him. Hell I had the same view as him but 4 stories up.
I'd like to know who was on board the boat beside him The "APOISE" now there is some serious money.
Happy New Year To All.
