Just How Much Does Victoria Beckham Spend on Handbags?

England's The Daily Mail has a fun piece on just how much some top celebs are spending on handbags. There aren't any Americans on the list but one recent transplant to the U.S., our favorite free-spending Spice Girl tops the list. According to the piece Victoria Beckham has been spotted this year toting around an astounding £23,625 in purses. And that's just seven bags, I am pretty certain Posh Spice has a lot more bags than that in her closet. The number shown at right, a little purple Hermes clutch to match the purple and silver dress she wore to the Marc Jacobs show in September cost a cool £3,000.

By comparison, Kate Moss came in with just £11,390 in pricey bags. I'd love to see a list of American celebs with a bag addiction. Who would top the list? Now that Lindsay Lohan is reportedly broke I would guess that either Paris Hilton or perhaps one of the Olsen twins with their endless parade of giant Balenciega bags might top that list.

This isn't a true reflection on how much they actually spend. Most of the bags are given to them for promotional reasons.

A whole village in Africa can get clean running water with just a $30,000 donation toward a well. I'd rather carry my wallet there than carrying it in handbags which will be out of season in a matter of months. Too much wealth spent on yourself is personal bankrupcy. We're becoming ridiculous in America with our luxurious pursuits of self.

I think she is freakin HOT and it's kinda soundin like all of you are a little jealous! So she has implants and a tan...she is hot, her husband is awesome and they seem to be good parents...can't you just wish them well????

I guess these bags make her feel good about herself. She use to be cute when she was younger. I met her in person at one of the SPICE GIRL concerts. She looks so artificial now. I wonder if she's really happy? She seldom smiles in any picture I've seen of her. Goes to show you, MONEY doesn't always make you happy. Sad... poor children...

I suppose she thinks that by not smiling, it makes her look sexier???? No one knows but her... Anyway, I myself love purses and call myself a purse 'whore'. But, I only buy within my means. Whether you pick up 10 #'s or drop #'s, a purse will always fit....unlike clothes.

You don't need to spend a lot to have beautiful designer bags. I buy gorgeous and discounted designer bags for up to75% off at bluefly.com

I buy most of my stuff at an online shopping mall that gives me between 5-55% back in cash on all my purchases.
There are over 1000 stores including Bluefly, Sephora, Apple, The Gap, Target (great for soo much), Macy's. I also wait for sales so I get my cash back and the lowest price

she always looks like she's trying too hard. it's like she wants to be on the runaway, but can't quite make it so she stands around with her lips pursed together. not attractive. she should relax her face a little and she will wear those bags instead of the bags wearing her

btw us everyday girls can buy the 'it' bags on flex pay from hsn, qvc, or shop nbc

With so many people starving and suffering who needs to know about a few spoiled BRAT'S with this empty , hollow
value system. Stopthe crapy reporting on star's and the vulgarity of it is sick.

I feel repulsed and NOT jealous of this women. She thinks she looks sexy by not smiling and her own importance is so shallow. BUT than again most Hollywood starlets are NO different they do not have to come from England, we got them RIGHT HERE People.

I think before judging this woman because she doesnt smile, maybe we should look around us and see how many of us dont smile. Who cares? Leave her alone, she may not be as happy as we all think.

I think she has the idea that if she smiles she won't look as good or something. I wish some of her friends, if she has any, would tell her that a big smile would be her best accessory. I heard her say on a TV interview that she "Cannot be seen to be eating!" What is up with that? As if she never eats?

If she doesn't like her teeth it isn't as though she can't afford to have them fixed!

It is our fault that these people live this way. Americans need to start boycotting sports that pay their talent way to much money and manufacturers who pay stars for endorsements. I swear our house will never drink another Gatorade after they gave Tiger Woods $100 million a month ago for promoting Gatorade. He was destitute I know and really needed the money. YEAH RIGHT......People should start a national movement and change this crap. You wonder why we pay more and more for things. Well I guess Posh needs to buy more pocketbooks.
