Did Victoria Beckham Spend $50,000 On A Treehouse?

Each year we chronicle the Neiman Marcus Fantasy Gifts but we rarely get to hear about who purchases them. This year though, free-spending Victoria Beckham is said to have bought one of them. It is being reported that Posh Spice spent $50,000 on the Treetent at the Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills. The Treetent was created by Dutch sculptor and designer Dré Wapenaar and has a a nine-foot-diameter hardwood floor and round mattress. It sleeps two adults but she is said to have bought this as a fabulous fort for her three children. it isn't the first time that the Beckhams have bought their children a luxurious treehouse, a couple of years ago they spent around $187,000 for a much-contested playhouse at their English estate.

Pig Snout Posh Spice and her no-talent, washed up husband whatshisface have a lot of nerve spending $50K on what looks like a round tent for their three little piglets! They should donate that money to Charity, as those two did nothing to earn that money. Neither have talent, looks or anything but a pig snout for a nose!

I would be willing to bet that those of you who are complaining that they should give to the less fortunate or who are complaining that they belong in the less fortunate category do not give as much proportionately to charitable organizations as Posh Spice, her bandmates or their spouses. If they earn $1 million dollars, they probably give at least $100,000 of it away. If you make $20,000 are you giving away $2,000? I doubt it. Quit whining and teach your kids some values that don't have how much they get at Christmas or how much does it cost attached to it.

How does a nylon pod with a piece of wood in it and a mattress on top come up to $50,000? I could buy a huge piece of nylon for a few hundred bucks, lay a piece of plywood and a mattress in and tie it up in a tree for anyone who would give me $10,000!!!! Any takers?

I see alot of people worring about how other people spend their money,It makes me very angry!!!!!!! If I had that much money I damn sure would not but a tree house like that!!!!!! But it is their money that they worked for so let them spend it however they want!!!!!! I spend my money however I want !!!!!! I make it!!!!!! It seems that there are just too many people with too much time on their hands and just like to critisise other people!!!! This country was founded on freedom to live the way that you want to just as long as it is legal!!!!!But no matter what some people will never be happy and so they have to critisise someone else!!!!!!!

With the housing market what it is and many people losing their homes what kind of christmas do you think their going to have. This lady has no concept of what is really going on in the world or she just doesn't care one way or the other. She really isn't doing her kids a favor by over indulging them like this, wait about 10-15yrs and see what we hear about them

I know,,I know,, it's EASY to get caught up in the whole "Christmas morning" crap but get your heads out of the clouds and be GRATEFUL, you OBVIOUSLY have electricity to run your computer, Millions of people around the world would call THAT a luxury, forget the tree tent !!!

Ummmm.... Last I checked, while I was ok at soccer, I wasn't a major soccer star. I also used to do theater and took dance for several years. I would probably kill myself after putting on a show like they used to just because of how taxing it would be. On top of that, imagine having every single thing you do put on a blog, or in a magazine, or in a paper. Say what you will about her, but always walks out flawless and presents herself well to the public. So yeah, she works and he works. So if they want to buy an island with their money, then let them buy an island. They got that money through sweat and hard work so they can do with it what they want to. Oh, and I'm sure they donate to several charities, all celebrities do.

I guess all of you people that say she should have given the money to the poor, practice what you preach.
How much of YOUR weekly pay do YOU give the homeless?
I'm hearing a LOT of jealousy, and resentment here, its HER money, and none of our business if she wants to burn it, feed it to a wild hog, or whatever.
Y'all really need to grow up, and practice what you preach, or shut up and go to work.

I do agree it is weird looking and ugly but thats just my opinion. They do both work for money . I just wish i had some money like that so i can save my 10 month old baby girl . Why are so many of you spending someone else's money? I work with a guy who came from a car show today. He was annoyed that a man who purchased a Lamborgini on the spot for $450,000K was shooing people away from touching it. Hey, the guy paid for it. It's his new ride. Everybody gets like that when they buy a new car no matter what kind it is. You don't paw all over someone else's stuff. And, you don't tell them how to spend their own money. The thing I find MOST interesting about this "treehouse" is the contraption itself, not the price, or who bought it. It really doesn't look very practical to me. It doesn't fit the concept of a treehouse to me. It just looks like an oversized duffle bag. I wouldn't want to hang out in that. It actually looks unsafe and un-fun no matter what it costs or who buys it. It doesn't seem to fit the usual Neiman-Marcus luxurious kind of extravagence.
