$62,000 Diamond Studded Lipstick

But $62,000?French cosmetics house Guerlain is releasing KissKiss Gold and Diamonds this week, and for the $62,000 price tag you'll get a consultation with Guerlain's artistic director Olivier Echaudemaison and a lipstick shade customized just for you that comes in an 18-karat gold lipstick tube encrusted with 199 conflict-free diamonds, plus rubies and emeralds. It can be engraved and comes in a black lacquer case with a suede pouch.
Sound good? Get ready to make an appointment, as they will only be available at Bergdorf Goodman via private consultation.

If cosmetics company's cut out the bull s**t and all the gimmicky bits and pieces like diamonds and still offer this service (custom colours), they would sell them by the truck load. They would still be significantly higher in price but nowhere near $62k.
Custom anything is highly prised and people are prepared to pay for it but $62k for l lip colour........turn it up. Totally ludicrous.

Earth to ^^^^ the cosmetics companies do offer customization . And you get pretty packaging. But you cheapos complain about that as well.

I am pretty sure that I would rather buy a new rolex or a diamond ring for my woman than lipstick she could get for 10 bucks at walmart with fake diamonds on the plastic holder.
