East 88th St, Estate of the Day

Often when I see a listing for a New York penthouse it is shown bare or with just the right minimalist furniture to highlight the open spaces. But what does one of the spaces look like when it is inhabited by those who have what most of us have, a hodgepodge of mismatched stuff. Today's listing gives us a chance to find out.The penthouse at East 88th Street is on the 45th, 46th and 47th floors and has over 3,400 sq ft, and has its own elevator. The first floor includes a living room, terrace, eat-in kitchen and a formal dining room. The second floor is home to the master bedroom and bath and a study and the third floor is devoted to children's rooms, laundry and storage. The current owners seem to have packed a whole lot of possessions into this home but at least it looks lived in. It is listed at $7 million.
