We all know that the price of oil is on the rise lately. Taking the concept of black gold literally is Design Glut's line of Crude Jewelry. A necklace, a bracelet, and a ring decorated with miniature oil barrels. The best thing about these pieces is that each barrel is engraved on the bottom with the date it was made and the cost of a barrel of crude oil on that day. My first thought was, predictably, How Crude! Oh the irony. But then I thought, well, it's kind of clever. I'd rather like a necklace as a memento, as you said, of cheap oil days. Do they really contain oil? You never said. They should.
