Craftsman 22k Gold Plated Wrench Set

Guys always love tools, and although getting wrenches is almost always useful (they get left and lost everywhere) it's hardly exciting -- getting more wrenches is kinda like getting more socks: oh yay. But these wrenches are something else altogether: available from Sears, this Craftsman 4 pc. set of full polish reversible ratcheting standard wrenches is fully plated in 22k gold. Set comes in an engraved walnut display box and is adorned with the 80th anniversary logo. A truly unique luxury gift for the guy who's got everything! $119.99

Actually, for $120, I think that's a very unique gift for the handyman who already has a complete set of tools. It would look great in his shop. I think the presentation could use some work, though. With the hinged lid, it would take up too much space while open (which the recipient would want to do all the time). Instead, it should have a removable lid that doubles as a stand, or a hinged lid that can go all the way back to prop it up. Otherwise, you can't see the tools and words if it's laying on a shelf.

Cool ! Do they come in Metric sizes? Perfect for the trunk of my Porsche, wouldn't use them often but would be nice to have for those roadside repairs.

This is a conversation "gift" item. An off the wall type of thing that most folks would not get for themselves. Hence the word gift in the title of this forum. If I know someone who would enjoy these for one reason or another, I would get them.
There is no need for rude "use your money on (name your favorite cause here)". Please have the courtesy to allow folks to buy someone a gift as they wish and we won't tell you how to spend your hard earned money. Remember, they worked for it, you had nothing to do with it, and they should not be guilted into spending it they way YOU think they should. Enjoy how you live your life (looking all rich) and don't dictate how others should live.
