Rumors have been swirling about House & Garden's trouble for some time now, and I think the changing industry just seals the deal. One thing is for sure - wether the consumer is going to the web for their information or not, the shelter category is changing.I think House & Garden was holing on to "old ways" of home design reporting that don't resonate as strong anymore with all the other competitors out there.  And sadly, many luxury and home furnishings businesses are still on the fence about getting involved with new social media or newer ideas in communication. Consider sites like this and magazines like Domino and Blueprint, popping up.
