Big and blingy seem to be the perfect description for the new
Baume & Mercier Riviera XXL Jump Hour. The watch has a 43mm white gold
octagonal dodecogonal case packed with 400 diamonds (mostly brilliant cut except for the baguettes around the crown). That's 9.5 carats of diamonds total. The movement is the automatic Dubois Depraz caliber 14400 with Cotes de Geneva decoration on the rotor. It is water resistant but I can't imagine getting this one wet especially since the strap is white alligator.

Deidre, that's actually a dodecogonal (12-sided) watch face.

Is it a women's watch?

It looks like a ladies watch. As for the not getting it wet because it's alligator leather, THEY LIVE IN THE DAMN WATER. Classic comment for all the wrong reasons.

Well, this sure is sparkly. I like the watch itself, but it gets lost in all the bling.

Beautiful watch.. It has the elegance of a Jaquet Droz with flashiness on the side of Jacob & Co. Overall, not a bad combination.
JW-C, I enjoy reading your comments, but alligator straps (all leather straps actually) are inherently more susceptible to water damage because of water absorption in the lining and stitching
