Mariah Carey Is Cuckoo For Butterflies

Mariah Carey loves butterflies. From album covers to temporary tattoos, the singer likes to surround herself with the delicate insect's image. Even her new perfume, M, features a butterfly stopper on the bottle. But it is Lalique's so-called Butterfly scent that has attracted her like a butterfly to a flower. She recently shelled out $13,200 for a case of the exclusive, limited edition perfume simply because she loved the bottle design - an etched crystal bottle adorned with a beautiful butterfly stopper. It may not just be the pretty bottle that led her to purchase the pricey perfume - a source told In Touch Weekly that she thinks the scent will make her actually smell like a butterfly. Do butterflies even have a scent?

umm yea the bottle looks like an antique avon bottle, and they really arent that beautiful. *my opinion* definetly not worth all that money. Yea i wish i had some of that money to so i could spend it in a more APPROPRIATE way, but eh what can you do about rich people?

This is the same woman who gets her beautiful golden appearance with actual real gold spray, sprayed right onto her skin. She's never done anything philanthropic with her money, just as many other singers haven't done as well; she doesn't endorse a single cause for the betterment of anyone, yet, she'll blow money on b*^#^*!t stuff that has absolutely no meaning what so ever. She's extremely self centered, and wouldn't it be nice to feed and clothe a few people with all the money she wastes on stuff.

Give me a break! $1050 for a bottle of perfume ON SALE???? Its not that good! And Ive seen prettier bottles. I guess when one has a famous name they tend to get greedy and sell on it.

I just looked at the bottle of the perfume that has Mariah in a tizzy for. It is ugly! I can get a prettier and better image of a butterfly at any 99 cent shop in the USA. I think she has a few butterflies loose in the brain. I adore her vocally as in her music, but better she not speak without a song...and YES I AM A FAN OF HERS!!

Mariah,

Has an excellent voice. One of the best -- if not the best -- in the industry. She can afford to get what she likes. After all she made the money through her God-given talents. We should all be so lucky to indulge our whims. Good for you, Mariah!
