Emerging wine regions bring new options

Everyone knows you can find great wine in California, France and Italy but would you have ever considered sipping vino from vines in Maryland? What about Texas, Virginia, Oregon or New York? It is hard to imagine but these areas have been slowly growing their vineyards and perfecting their craft over time and now their wines are ready for your discerning taste. Known for their pinot noirs and sparkling wines even Tasmania, Australia is making a leap into the scene. And Switzerland isn't just making great chocolate or watches these days! Their gamays and unique white wines are really something. So no longer do we have to limit our scope of great wines to the western coast of the U.S. or the Bordeux region, the varietals are coming in greater variety than ever before!
