Love to Shop? The Best Places for a VIP Experience

Shopping is one of those things that's pretty darn fun in all but the worst of circumstances, but of course there's always room for it to be even better! VIP shopping experiences are available to only the biggest of spenders, which means you get in by actually shopping a lot instead of by paying a fee for the services.
So where do those "biggest spenders" do their spending?
A VIP experience is a very subjective thing, so it's really all about your personal experience and taste. Would you change anything on this list?

What was the store that dissed Oprah? Every now and then I splurge on something special for myself. As an African American, where will I be treated well?

The store who wouldn't open for Oprah was Hermes. They make scarves and the Berkin bags.

I was so pregnant while shopping at many Dallas stores. I walked into Barney's toally beaten down from the Texas heat and a salesmen brought me every size and style shoe I could possibly ever want to look at. Having to know that a pregnant women with swollen feet can't wear stilletto's! I was so impressed with him treating me like a women and not a large bolb that I bought 3 pairs, even at their pirices! Now, I love that store and even have their card! Way to go for their oustanding service!

Absolutely, love Neiman Marcus' (in Dallas) VIP treatment of customers. I particularly love the North Park location. I'm a teacher, and can't afford most of their merchandise, but every now and then I like to treat myself to something nice there. I'm always treated like a VIP customer, whether I buy a lot or a little. I especially love the fragrance counter. Whenever I buy something there, they give you nice samples, which makes my purchase even more special, because I feel like I came away with a large treasure. I live in a small town, 2 hours away, and whenever I can, I make a trip to Neiman Marcus. It's my special getaway.

Love the Neiman Marcus Northpark location in Dallas. I'm a teacher, but whenever I go I'm treated like a VIP customer. I especially love the fragrance counter. Whenever I buy something there, they give you an abundance of samples, which makes my purchase even more special. Other stores I go (like Dillards, Saks, Nordstrom) I have to ask for samples and they maybe give me one.

You should add Nordstrom's at Fashion Square in Scottsdale, Arizona. Actually, this applies to all of their stores, in my experience. The service is personal, knowledgeable and they remember your name. They have a nursing room for new moms and it is not unusual to run into a new celebrity mom there since they are left alone. Nordstroms has class.

Harvey Nichols in London have terrible customer service, I used to love how small it was compared to Harrods and (ugh) Selfridges, but I refuse to shop there anymore.
Their sales personnel are rude and unhelpful and would much rather talk to each other than turn around to see what the customer beside them wants, even after trying to get the salesperson's attention. If you finally get someone to help you, they will probably huff and sigh and roll their eyes every time you ask for something.
At one point I got sick and tired of the attitude and asked to talk to the floor manager. I was then was told that the lady that was at the counter, who had had the phone stuck to her ear for the past twenty minutes yapping about her weekend, was the floor manager. That is when I decided to shop at Harrods, great service even if I do tend to get lost inside.
