With a name like Opulent Vodka, it's hard to ignore the latest launch to the absolutely over-stuffed vodka market. This latest entry is made from Midwestern corn (as if you weren't getting enough corn in your diet already) and is distilled five times. The corn is from various Midwestern farms and is available in Minnesota and South Dakota. The quilted look of the bottle is rather posh though. I am amazed at the contrast between yet another new vodka on the market that is filtered five times and my favorite premium brand vodka Perfect1864. The company claims it to be the highest quality vodka in the world yet only lightly filters once due to the most pristine water from the Vosges Preserve in France being used in the process according to their website info at www.Perfect1864.com .My point, we have all these new premium vodkas popping up but I only see one stepping up to the plate with paperwork aka certificates of origin being provided with each case proving the origin of all its ingredients.The water and wheat are of the highest quality and purity not because the company says so but the paper trail proves it. Do a search on the internet and you will find wholesalers selling "premium vodka" at $1.50 a bottle per bulk purchase and allowing companies to slap a fancy marketable name on the bottle. For my opulent taste I'll stick with the only premium vodka that is what it says it is and proves it. Smooth, pure and of the highest quality,I'll continue to be a fan of Perfect1864.

I like how lose they state it, 'you know,from various midwestern farms.' So where else might the corn come from, ...last years crops? Mexico?? Who knows, who cares right, just throw a label on it and make up a story....corn vodka??? Does it come on the cob? This is the reason there are so many vodkas out there, anyone who has some capitol can buy one, but where is the stuff coming from?? How is it any different than the 'white lightning' in Russia which is linked to over 40,000 deaths last year? I will stick to sure thing, the best vodka out there, Perfect 1864 Vodka!

Sounds like you work for this Perfect 1864 company and are trying to get some free pub..
I would like to try this so called pedigree Perfect vodka to see how it rates.
Vodka's are a dime a dozen, and I've tasted $7 750ml value brands as well as Smirnoff that taste better than most of the ultra premium brands like Absolut, Belvedere, Chopin, ect..
I have tried this new OPULENT vodka, it is smooth and clean. Blows away Grey Goose, but that doesn't take much. Kettle is the nice stand by, both Kettle and OPULENT taste similar in creaminess and don't have the alcohol burn.
It's enjoyable to try new things, instead of trying to project an image and really not be knowledgable.

I don't know where you are from but I know you can order it at any upscale Newport Rhode Island Establishment,lots of Exclusive Boston Massachusetts establishments, New Brunswick New Jersey is sold out to Peureux Perfect1864 Vodka.Look for it in Ben Stillers new movie in a couple of seens.Just in the background but there you'll see that beautiful Blue Fleur De Lis and the big Blue PERFECT acress the bottle.
