Keith Urban's Nashville Mansion, Estate of the Day

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have put their Nashville home in a gated community on the market. The story, which I first spotted in Page Six and then People, is that Urban and Kidman aren't leaving Nashville, they are moving into a new home (reportedly they have bought land and are looking to build a farmhouse. The four-bedroom house was bought by Urban in 2005 for $1.7 million. It was built in 2004 and pretty much looks brand new. As the Real Estalker Mama astutely notes, this home is not too distinctive. There's a lot of beige and soft colors and nothing except the gleaming black piano and the plethora of fitness equipment that makes it recognizable as a celebrity home. For your $2.45 million you also get a celeb neighbor, LeeAnn Rimes lives in the neighborhood.

Yep, you called it. "Nice bathtub positioning" and "Decent view from the Dining Room Table" area about all I can say. Otherwise, not great. Not terrible.

I'd take it.

Why does it say-Nicole Kidman is selling "her" mansion? When she is Oz I don't see any referance of Darling Point belonging to Keith Urban. She is so selfish--Like they will ever live in Nashville. Not enough Glitz for Nicold.

I can't believe Nicole Kidman would ever live in this ordinary house.
Garethe Sep 28th 2007 11:07PM
Thats an ordinary house? Hmmm. I would love to see what kind of houses you people live in! LOL
$2.45 million in Nashville is like $20 million in LA or the Bay Area so this is NO ordinary house
Garethe Sep 28th 2007 11:11PM
Who the hell would want to live in Nashville if they didnt HAVE to
Who the hell would want to live anywhere besides the East Coast or the West Coast if they didnt have to?
Let's face it. The Midwest and the South are armpits! I'll include Florida in the South as well( fyi)

Agreed. I wouldnt pay more than a few hundred thousand ( MAX) for a house in Tennessee! I dont care who the neighbor is. All those damn hillbillies
Spitfire Sep 28th 2007 11:14PM
LOL. Yeah.. TN is a shithole
Billyboo Sep 28th 2007 11:16PM
Who the hell cares about Nicole Kidman's house?
She belongs in TN! ;)
She can be queen of the rednecks
Lia Sep 28th 2007 11:24PM
It's gorgeous. I would consider it heaven to live there. Anyone who says otherwise is just jealous, I think.....
Matilda Sep 28th 2007 11:44PM
Ordinary? What do you live in? I think it's simplistic beauty in it's best form.

Obviously the people who are saying bad things about Tennessee have never been there. It's a wonderful place to live and raise a family. Who would want to live in a city where you can't even own a car because you have no where to park it, or in a city where you have to sit in traffic for 4 hours just to get home from work? Tennessee has beautiful mountains, great people, and let’s not forget the most important part... FRESH AIR!! We are not "hillbillies" or "rednecks". We have educations, money, and homes as nice as anyone else. I think that their house is beautiful and it probably cost more than all of your houses. You all are just jealous. So get off of your high horses and get a life.

TN is a wonderful place to live. My parents & my daughter lived in Bristol, TN for a few years and love it. It's mountains and land are gorgeous and the people are wonderful. I don't know where you people are coming from. Also why bad mouth Nicole Kidman, she is just as human as you or me. Grow up people and get a life!

The profane and negative comments about Tennessee and those who live here reveal the ignorant, narrowminded, and prejudiced attitudes of those who really do not know the people of this state. This beautiful, historic state deserves a better reputation than the caricatures that Hollywood and a few news stories of tornado victims in house trailers can show. However, if you people prefer to think of us in that way, that's good. It means we'll never have to put up with you here.

I was a Navy wife originally from TN & there was nothing like "going home" from ANYWHERE in the USA. You folks don't know beautiful, friendly & hospitable until you've lived here. We love Nicole & Keith & any home they buy, sell or live in in TN! And...ditto...if you don't like Tn, that's good, we won't have to put up with you.

I've lived in San Francisco, Oceanside, CA, Stockton, CA, Baltimore, MD, St. Louis, MO, Houston, Texas and I've traveled to many countries in Europe. I can tell you one of the most beautiful area's I've visited is the mountains of TN. California has homes that are in terrible shape for $500,000. but in Houston, Texas that will buy you a beautiful large home. It's all relative isn't it. And I subscribe to the old story that you can find people with the same interests as you have where ever you go. It looks like a very nice house and my goodness there are a lot of people who are just plain mean and probably don't have some of the opportunites that celebrities have. Even if you're not rich and not a celebrity---you can still be nice---right?

MY HOUSE IN MARYLAND WAS MUCH NICER & BIGGER. I SOLD IT FOR $425,000 IN 2005. IT HAD A 20x40 FOOT POOL, & A SEPERATE POOL HOUSE, WITH A KITCHEN & 2 BATHROOMS. I BOUGHT IT FOR $76,000 LESS IN 1992.
