Audi Corporate Fashion Line Hits Offices Worldwide
At the Frankfurt Motor Show these past few days, the folks at the Audi stand have quite the uniform. The dress is tasteful black suits covering pressed white shirts or blouses -- but these are anything but your run-of-the-mill duds.
Audi has signed Michael Michalsky on to design its own Corporate Fashion Line for employees working auto shows, the Audi Forum and in dealerships. In the forefront of the fashion design world, Michalsky will also serve as an Audi brand ambassador.
The effort marks Audi's foray into the world of fashion, a role played by sibling brand Volkswagen several months ago when it launched high-end garments such as cashmere scarves to accompany the launch of its Jetta-based Eos convertible.

Michalsky creates Audi Corporate Fashion Line

- Audi staff in fashion designer's new outfit
In the future, Audi staff will be wearing designer fashion at shows, at the Audi Forums and at dealers. The Audi Corporate Fashion Line was created by top designer and new Audi brand ambassador Michael Michalsky. The black outfits are figure-hugging and elegant, and are worn over white blouses or shirts. The Michalsky Fashion Line will be making its first grand appearance at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt in the middle of September. The Corporate Fashion Line will only be introduced in Germany to start with, but is also to be worn by Audi staff in international markets in the long term.
As Michalsky's own high standards for his work fit in perfectly with the Audi brand values, he has been made the car manufacturer's new brand ambassador. Car enthusiast Michalsky drives an Audi Q7. The look of both brands stands for sporty and timeless elegance, clear and progressive styling, devotion to detail and the perfect processing of high-quality materials. "Audi is celebrating its entry into the fashion industry and is excited to be accompanying Michalsky from the start with the setting up of his three new labels," says Michael Renz, Head of Central Marketing at AUDI AG.
Michalsky is one of the most famous fashion designers in Germany and has received numerous awards for his work. He won the GQ Germany award as Designer of the Year 2003, was named Sport Style Designer of the Year 2004 at the ISPO fashion show and received the red dot design award 2005 with the adidas team.
Michalsky is looking to continue this run of success with three own-name labels – the exclusive MICHALSKY line, M67 - Michalsky Jeans Berlin and a brand by the name of Michamic, which is still to be launched. He gets his inspiration from the various styles in the music scene and youth culture.
