Ilha da Josefa, Estate of the Day

I know we checked out a private island in Brazil just a month ago but I couldn't resist showing you this one for the Friday Fantasy. Ilha da Josefa is a Brazilian retreat that is 25 minutes from Rio de Janeiro by helicopter. The island is in the Bay of Angra dos Reis like the previous island I mentioned. This one has a 6,000-square-foot main house, that was designed and decorated by Brazil's renowned architect Thiago Bernardes. The beautiful home has a living room, dining room, kitchen, home theater, gym, solarium, barbecue area, spa and sauna. The 50-meter-long wooden deck can accommodate pleasure boats, sailboats and yachts and there are not one but two helipads. The island has five suites total spread out over three bungalows. The master suite bungalow includes a living room, bedroom and Jacuzzi and the other bungalows offer two suites each. There is also a service villa for staff. This remarkable retreat is listed at $8.5 million.
