The Robert Taylor ranch, an expansive Los Angeles property which I first mentioned
way back in 2005 is
headed for the auction block on November 7. The property has been listed at various prices, from $35 million to $50 million, is said to be valued at $60 million. The ranch in Brentwood was built in 1956 and has an enviable 122 acres of land as well as a huge main house with 37 rooms. The grounds include a pool, tennis court, and stables. Former radio station owner, Ken Roberts bought the home in 1975 for $900,000. and so he should see an incredible return on his investment. The property can also be subdivided into four additional lots and much of the acreage can be donated to a conservatory to receive a tax credit in the amount of several million dollars. Any guesses on the final bid? I'm guessing $37 million.

I m guessing 30 million. And why would the proceeds go to Roberts? Usually when an auction occurs it means the bank has taken it over.
