There isn't a trendy our outrageous bag in Marcela Calvet's entire collection. Instead, her bags stand out for the obvious quality craftsmanship and their French-inspired beauty. The Honoré II is her homage to Hermès Paris, combining elegant design with exotic skins. Made from South American Ostrich in a rich Pampas Saddle color, this hand-made bag features gold-plated solid brass hardware, a simple flap closure and brass feet. Lined in Argentine calf with an adjustable shoulder strap, the bag measures 10"W by 8"H x 4"D. $3,200.
[thanks, Lara]

I love this bag. I know how soft South American ostrich is. My mother has a bag in this leather and it looks like new (she bought it almost 30 years ago). I live in Europe and I heard that some royals (women of course), and other members of the upper classes are taking a fancy to the bags of Marcela Calvet. Good for her. Her bags are really beautiful.

I congratulate Ms. Calvet on such a beautiful handbag. I have bought several expensive ones for my wife over the years, and I think I will continue doing so but this time I will add Ms. Calvet's bags to my list. This site and its reviews is of great help to men like me. We know we want to buy something nice for our wives or girlfriends but we do not always know what to look for in handbags. You have been of great help to me. Thanks!

But Jackie my question is this, your bag is made of what material? Surely it is not the same as this one, exotic skins are expensive my dear; that is why they cost more. I own this very bag by Ms. Calvet and it is simply EXQUISITE!
